Hello, my name is Helen and I founded 9to5 Virtual Office on 1st April 2023. (not as a joke)

Before that, the company was known as Direct Line Communication, which my mum, Sue, set up in July 1991. I joined DLC in 2002, initially working on reception, and later took over once my mum retired. We decided to rename the company so it felt more like my own venture: a true virtual office in Greater London.

By working on the phones—what we call front of house—I developed a thorough understanding of every side of the business. I enjoy front of house so much that I still answer the phones personally, alongside our two other receptionists, Jo and Chrissie.

 

I’m Chrissie and I have had the pleasure of working with/for Helen for 19 years now.

We have such a good rapport between us in the office and it’s like a family working together and taking care of our clients. 

We pride ourselves on answering our client’s calls with a smile and making callers feel listened to.

Out of the office I love being with my family, friends and crafting for pleasure.

I currently have a gorgeous cat called Mia who makes me laugh most days.
